On Thursday,
January 31, Hunter Schleper finished 3rd in a star studed field including World

bobble on the steep, firm pitch which culminated in his 2nd run, 3rd place
finish and a 3rd overall. Grandi won the 2nd run and claimed the victory. Kitt
Flowers had a spectacular 1st run, only .6 seconds from the lead and put the

Out took to the slopes on a record cold day and discovered a very difficult
course set, on the Eagle Crest Trail, with the snow having hardened into a
firmer surface with the cold temperatures. Schleper began where he left off the day before,
and won the first run followed by a victory in the 2nd run to take the gold, and soldify
his #1 world ranking in Giant Slalom. Flowers also had a fantastic race and
finished 5th, 3rd in the juniors, 19 and under, to lower his GS ranking to 8th in
the nation.
On Saturday, February 2, the first slalom day, Schleper once again came
out on top, winning both runs, and scoring a fantastic personal best ever slalom
result when Thomas Grandi was unable to negotiate all of the difficulty of
the slope and did not finish. Schleper moved up to top 5 in the world with
this race. Meanwhile, Kitt Flowers scored his best slalom result and a 5th
place overall, 3rd place in the juniors, with a great race.

and the Canadian Junior National Championships.
Meanwhile, locally Cooper
